appPID is provided as freeware. You are granted a non-exclusive license to use this software free of charge for personal, educational, and commercial purposes.

License Type

appPID is distributed as closed-source freeware. The following terms apply to your use of the software.

Usage Rights

You are permitted to:

  • Use the software commercially or personally without cost
  • Install and use the software on multiple computers
  • Distribute the original installation package unchanged, with the following conditions:
    • The complete package (including LICENSE.rtf and third_parties_mentions.txt) must be distributed together
    • No modifications may be made to the distributed package
    • Distribution must be free of charge (no fees may be charged for appPID itself)

You are NOT permitted to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the software
  • Remove any copyright notices or proprietary labels
  • Redistribute modified versions of the software
  • Sublicense, rent, lease, or sell the software
  • Bundle appPID with commercial products without explicit written permission

Termination

This license automatically terminates if you breach any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and destroy all copies in your possession.

IMPORTANT: This application uses PySide6 and Shiboken6 components licensed under LGPL v3. Users have the right to replace these components with modified versions. See third_parties_mentions.txt for complete LGPL compliance information and replacement instructions.

Governing Law

This license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Accepting the License

By installing, copying, or otherwise using appPID, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this License Agreement.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not download, install, or use the software.

Important: This is proprietary software. The source code for appPID is not available for public use or modification. However, LGPL components (PySide6/Shiboken6) can be replaced as described in the third_parties_mentions.txt file.
